Renowned Nigerian gospel music minister Osinachi Egbu, popularly known as Sinach, alongside her husband, has commended Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, for what she described as intentional and people-focused governance, citing visible developmental progress across the state.
Sinach made the remarks on Friday during a visit to the Governor at his country home in Umuehim Nvosi, Isialangwa South Local Government Area, where she praised the administration’s leadership style and commitment to public welfare.
“An Intentional Governor” — Sinach
Speaking after the meeting, the award-winning gospel singer described Governor Otti as an “intentional Governor,” noting that his administration’s impact is evident in infrastructure, environmental renewal, and citizen engagement.
“We are from Abia, and we are seeing what the Governor is doing. These are exemplary things. We came to say thank you for his visionary work and to let him know that we truly appreciate it,” she said.
She added that the changes across the state reflect purposeful leadership and a clear development agenda.
Medical Outreach and Foundation Support
Sinach also expressed gratitude to the Governor for his support of the Joseph and Sinach Foundation, particularly in the area of healthcare delivery and medical outreach programmes.
According to her, the Governor’s intervention provided critical medical support that enabled the foundation to carry out life-saving medical services for residents across Abia State.
Her husband, who oversees the foundation’s medical mission, disclosed that their most recent outreach held at the School of Health Science and Management Technology, Aba, recorded significant success.
He revealed that:
More than 20 major surgical procedures were carried out
Thousands of residents received medical care and consultations
Describing governance under Governor Otti, he said the difference in leadership was “incomparable.”
“It feels like this is governance for the first time,” he stated.
Visible Development Across Abia State
Highlighting areas of transformation, Sinach pointed to:
Improved road infrastructure
Cleaner and more vibrant public spaces
Introduction of electric buses
Increased public participation in governance
“You can feel that the environment has improved, and people are now more involved in what is happening in government,” she noted.
Message to Gospel Artistes and Upcoming Concert
The gospel singer also urged upcoming gospel artistes to remain focused on spreading the message of Jesus Christ, encouraging them to stay committed regardless of circumstances.
She reminded artistes that gospel music represents good news and should be shared consistently.
Sinach further hinted at an upcoming major gospel concert in Abia State, advising fans to watch out for an official announcement in the coming weeks.
Marriage Rumours Addressed
Addressing rumours circulating online about their marriage, Sinach’s husband dismissed the claims, describing his wife as his lifelong partner.
“This is my wife, and she will remain my wife forever. I am proud and honoured to be called her husband,” he said.
