The Detty Rave 2025 closing party delivered one of the most electrifying nights of this year’s holiday entertainment season, propelled by Afro-fusion star Mr Eazi and an unforgettable appearance by Nigerian superstar Davido.

Held as the grand finale to Entertainment Week Lagos (EWG), the event drew massive crowds under a towering neon-lit sculpture symbolizing the cultural energy of West Africa. Despite a lineup mostly kept under wraps, excitment peaked as major artists including J Hus, Shallipopi, and King Promise took to the stage, turning Accra into a hub of high-octane performance and unity.

Davido’s Unconventional Turn

In a standout moment, Davido swapped his signature stage presence for DJ duties, keeping thousands of fans energized through the night. His set reached its peak when he brought viral Ghanaian dancer AnanzoJ onstage, delivering a celebratory reunion that highlighted the cross-border camaraderie fueling the event.

A Vision Beyond the Music

More than just a party, Detty Rave became a platform for cultural progress. During the event, Mr Eazi pledged US$2 million toward the construction of a permanent 3,000-seat creative venue in Ghana, emphasizing the need for better entertainment infrastructure and opportunities for artists across the region. Eazi urged the Ghana Tourism Authority to support the project by providing suitable land, underlining the long-term economic potential of creative spaces.

Celebration With Purpose

True to the spirit of “Choplife,” Mr Eazi also distributed GH₵30,000 in cash gifts to fans throughout the evening — a philanthropic gesture that resonated deeply with attendees and reflected the communal theme of the night.

The seamless execution of Detty Rave 2025, which balanced star power with strategic investment pledges, has positioned the event as more than just a holiday spectacle — it’s now seen as a cultural milestone for African music and entertainment.
