Rob Reiner’s Son Arrested After Director and Wife Found Dead at Los Angeles Home

Hollywood director Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, were found deceased in their Los Angeles residence on Sunday, December 14, 2025, in what law enforcement officials are investigating as a suspected homicide.
The couple’s 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, was taken into custody and has been arrested in connection with the deaths, according to Los Angeles Police Department sources. Nick is currently being held with bail set at $4 million as the investigation continues. Authorities from the LAPD’s Robbery-Homicide Division are leading the case and have not yet released additional details on charges or motive.

Their son, Nick Reiner, has spoken publicly in the past about his struggles with substance abuse and periods of homelessness. In 2016, he co-wrote the film Being Charlie, a drama inspired in part by his personal experiences with addiction and recovery.
